SOUND, FIRE & SMOKE

We have been playing around with Smoke, Fire & Sound to offer a visual representation of sound. When sound waves are fed through a gas filled tube, it pushes out more gas where the wave peaks, resulting in a sound wave of fire. This offers an instant visual response to music and is something we feel has massive potential for an installation or product.
 

We’re really excited by this and our (slightly crude) video demonstrates the idea with various different sound inputs, from iPod to microphone to guitar.
